I believe it was the nicotine patches that helped your cough. Coughs don’t go away quickly from placebo effects. I had a bad cough like yours for 2 years 10 months. I had multiple antibiotics, inhalers, cough syrups and steroids. Nothing helped. Finally was given a drug to improve my stomach motility and the cough was gone in five days! I had assumed I’d cough until I died! Turned out I was having silent reflux and was having food particles in my lungs. I haven’t had a cough since and it’s been 13 years. You know what helped you!

Thank you Baga! Would you share the drug you took? I think people would like to know. Did you only have to take it for a short term or for the rest of your life. Thanks aagain for sharing. Have a good weekend. To Health, Angela

The drug my gastro doctor prescribed was Motlium (Domperidone). It’s not approved by the US FDA so the doctor gave me the name of a New Zealand online pharmacy to use. It’s not FDA approved because the company didn’t want to incur the massive costs of getting US approval. Motilium is primarily used to help mothers increase their milk supply when breastfeeding so it’s not widely used. I did breast feed my two children without any drugs and I was initially worried the Motilium would trigger milk production but it didn’t at all. I take 20 mg about 30 minutes before a meal. I don’t take it before every meal. I’m most likely to take it when I’m having a heavier meal or eating food that I think I have trouble digesting. When I order Motilium I usually order a couple hundred as the price got cheaper the more I bought. There might be a cardiology issue for some people so please search that before you take any. I’ve taken these for 14 years with no problems. I’m 73 now.

I do want to warn you NOT to take Reglan (metoclopramide). It is US approved but Reglan crosses the brain blood barrier and can cause Tardive Dyskinesia which is an involuntary movement disorder that is permanent. My aunt died from Tardive Dyskinesia and it was a truly horrific disorder to die from. Hers was caused by the psych drugs she took for schizophrenia. I also heard a first hand story of a woman who took one dose of Reglan for nausea following surgery and was left with strange facial tics from Reglan.

We couldn’t find the original pharmacy we ordered from but this one appears to be similar. It has a way to place an order using US money. I hope this works for you:

Sounds like a belief to me then.

I've lived 4 and a half decades and have learnt it is best not to believe anything anyone tells you. Testimonies or not. The same question I asked you, applies to all the people who have compiled those testimonies you refer to...

Right now all I can tell you is I’m very happy I can breathe and I can sleep and I’m thankful for having learned the information. God bless you.

That is blind faith. You admitted yourself you do not know if it was your body doing natural healing, or if it was the patches...

God bless you too

How do you know it was the nicotine patches specifically, and not your body just doing its thing, and healing itself?

HI JOEL. great question. I can only tell you that after living a few decades we know our own bodies. I was going down fast. I was coughing and the only time it stopped was the patch. I just know it was that. Can I prove it. No. There are so many testimonies it made me want to try. I don’t have any heart condition so I felt it safe to try.
